Last week St Martin’s Voices were in St John's Church, Upper Norwood, recording their second album as part of their partnership with Resonus Classics.
The album, of sacred and secular choral music of American composer Ned Rorem (1923 - 2022) is due to be released at the start of 2025. Alongside unaccompanied choral works including Festive Alleluias, Ode to Man and O Magnum Mysterium, the ensemble recorded a number of works for choir and string quartet, played by the Piatti Quartet, including Two Psalms and a Proverb, and new arrangements of Little Lamb, who made thee, and How lovely is your dwelling place.
